(2002 Vintage) One of COC's favorite break time cigars, the Diplomaticos No.5 is like having a fine Italian espresso. The flavors are intense and direct due to the thin diameter of the cigar. Although rapid, if controlled in the smoke, the cigar develops steadily to finish with a rich climax of dried fruit heaven. For us, this No.5 is far superior to its Montecristo cousin, going further in its exploration of aroma.

Whilst only being a small cigar, the Diplomaticos No.5 seems to embody Cuba. Be it the box, the colors or the rustic construction, the smoke is merely there to confirm this.

Interesting flavors of dried fruit, not common to the Diplomaticos vitoles, pepper and earth are delivered in a rapid and direct smoke.

Not for the novice smoker as the finish can be strong surprise.
